Miss Sharratt and Miss Donohue lead Early Reading and KS2 Reading and love to share their enthusiasm for all things ‘books’ with this team of dedicated readers.
The Reading Champions are a team of book-loving children from across the school with a mission to help spread the joy of reading to every child at Holy Family.
We meet regularly to chat about our latest reads, keep the library tidy as well as sharing and planning ideas to create more reading opportunities in school. So far this year we have helped to organise reading events including: ‘Stay and Read, ‘Reading Buddies’, ‘Reading Assembly’ and an ‘Extreme Readers’ competition. We also help to run the Scholastic Book Fair, raising lots of money which is spent on buying new books for our class book corners.
